大选年欧盟要求互联网巨头打击假新闻，否则将处罚。据国外媒体报道，欧委会周二表示，在欧洲步入大选之年，谷歌、Facebook、Twitter和Mozilla必须采取更多措施来打击假新闻，否则这些公司将面临监管惩罚。

广告业公司及行业组织去年10月份签署了一份自律守则，但批评人士说，签约以来他们做的还不够。

欧盟高管表示，该自律守则的签署方已采取了删除假账户、限制网站宣传假新闻的措施，但还需要做得更多。

欧洲议会以及比利时、丹麦、爱沙尼亚、芬兰、希腊、波兰、葡萄牙和乌克兰，都将在今年举行选举。

俄罗斯已被指控通过散布虚假信息，影响了2016年美国总统选举和英国脱欧公投，以及2017年的德国全国选举。对此，俄罗斯予以否认。

欧盟委员会呼吁Facebook提供更多信息，说明其如何利用工具打击虚假新闻，并要求谷歌将其行动扩大到更多的欧盟国家。

Twitter应该提供更多有关其措施的细节，Mozilla浏览器应该有更多关于如何限制用户浏览活动细节的信息。
