The first phase of the 121st Canton Fair, which impressed exhibitors and buyers with the cutting-edge technologies, came to a close on April 19.

Here's a look at some of the more creative designs and products from exhibitors that drew considerable attention from foreign buyers.

Apart from the amazing cutting-edge technologies, intimate services offered at the fair also won thumbs-ups from foreign buyers.

To better serve traders participating in the fair, various modes of transportation were provided, including taxis, temporary bus lines, water buses, airport express service, and customized Ruyue buses and Ruyue taxis. The Ruyue bus and taxi were especially welcome to foreign buyers. "There are a total of over 1,000 Ruyue taxis serving people now," a fair spokesman said."Part of these taxis are specially dispatched here to facilitate these foreign traders." Rueyue bus and taxi can be called in advance and can save more time for passenger.

Bilingual guidance services were offered at Pazhou and Xingang East stations, according to the Guangzhou Metro. An international volunteer team consisting of 11 foreign students from 10 different countries reportedly rendered interpretation services in seven minority languages for foreign traders.

Also, the internet fast payment platform of the metro enabled traders to buy subway tickets online or via cellphone, which made travel more efficient and convenient. Guidance on location queries and hotel check-ins also was provided for traders' convenience.
