福特加大电动汽车投资规模：2022年达到110亿美元。据外媒报道，福特汽车公司董事长比尔·福特(Bill Ford)周日（14日）在底特律汽车展上表示，该公司将大幅增加其对电动汽车领域的投资，到2022年有望达到110亿美元。此前，福特曾制定电动汽车投资计划，希望到2020年达到45亿美元，而新的投资额度是此前目标的1倍以上。

福特公司的投资将用于研发和制造全电动和插入式混合动力汽车，该公司称:“我们始终都是这样做的，我们正在将我们的主流汽车和最具标志性的汽车实现电动化。”


随着美国消费者正转向传统的燃油皮卡和SUV，汽车制造商之间的竞争正在升温，希望将电动汽车推向市场。


底特律汽车制造商通用汽车公司已经宣布，计划在2023年之前，在其全球产品线中增加20款新电池电动汽车和燃料电池汽车。这个计划将由其在美国和中国传统内燃机汽车销售的强劲利润提供资金。通用首席执行官玛丽·巴拉（Mary Barra）向投资者做出了一个大胆承诺：到2021年，该公司将会通过销售电动汽车实现盈利。


福特全球市场主管吉姆·法利(Jim Farley)周日表示，该公司对全电动和混合动力汽车的投资将在原先计划水平上提高一倍。他说，增加投资表明福特建立专用电动汽车平台的决心，该公司将推出40种电动和混合动力车型，其中16款将是电池电动车型。


法利还称，到2020年，福特公司将会推出高性能的电动汽车。该公司将于2020年在密歇根州迪尔伯恩的工厂开始量产一款混合动力版的F-150卡车。
