谷歌继续为扩张做准备8.2亿美元硅谷购地，随着竞争对手苹果即将启用硅谷的新总部，Alphabet旗下谷歌也在像投机者一样购买地产。



根据《硅谷商业杂志》的报道，谷歌以8.2亿美元的价格从房地产开发合作伙伴CBRE手中购买了52处地产。这些地产位于加州太阳谷（Sunnyvale），谷歌山景城总部南边约4英里（约合6.4公里）。


报道称，一家房产中介悄悄帮助谷歌购买了这些地产。


太阳谷是雅虎长期以来的总部所在地。谷歌近年来在当地购买或租赁了多个小的办公园区。此次购买的这些地产可以填补这些园区之间的空白。


大约1个月之前，谷歌赢得了与圣何塞市的独家谈判权，购买圣何塞会展中心和曲棍球场附近的16块土地。


谷歌及其这笔交易中的开发合作伙伴、房地产巨头Trammell Crow，已经花费超过1亿美元，在圣何塞买地。


在这些收购完成之后，谷歌湾区的员工将可以分散至从旧金山到圣何塞的广大地区，而谷歌竞争对手苹果和Facebook的员工仍需要聚集在一起。谷歌这样做的意义部分是由于当地的交通拥堵问题。今年早些时候，这一地区的拥堵程度被评为美国第三，仅次于纽约和洛杉矶。


谷歌周一公布的数据显示，目前该公司有超过7.2万名员工。谷歌需要寻找更多办公空间，容纳更多员工，以维持增长。谷歌尚未对此消息置评。
