苹果开放人工智能研究不再禁止员工分享成果

苹果开放人工智能研究不再禁止员工分享成果。苹果一直以来都禁止员工公开研究成果，担心会失去商业知识产权，如今该公司却一反常态，允许研究者们公开人工智能方面的研究成果。据称苹果此举一方面是为了推进人工智能技术的发展，另外一方面也是希望用此开明策略招募更多人工智能领域的人才。



在周二举行的神经信息处理系统大会(NIPS)上，苹果人工智能研究主管鲁斯·萨拉赫丁诺夫(Russ Salakhutdinov)发表声明，表示苹果不再禁止员工公开发表人工智能方面的学术发现，也不再禁止员工与同领域的其他研究者合作，进一步促进人工智能技术的发展。相比之前苹果在人工智能研究方面“严防死守”的态度，这可以说是一次非常重大的策略改变了，实际上苹果在人工智能领域的竞争对手Facebook和谷歌都对研究者和研究成果持较为开明的态度。


苹果在招募人工智能领域的顶尖人才方面面临着史无前例的困难，因为该公司之前一直立场鲜明地阻止研究者分享研究成果，同时公司的消费者隐私策略不仅影响产品开发，也会为研究者们带来麻烦。


除了Siri之外，苹果似乎也要在人工智能、机器学习的其他领域进行拓展。今年八月接受采访时，苹果CEO蒂姆·库克(Tim Cook)就将人工智能称作是苹果未来的核心科技之一。


库克同时透露，苹果位于日本横滨的研究机构将专注于机器学习、深度学习方面的研究工作，这与Siri可是一个大相径庭的应用方向。


苹果也被传正在开发无人驾驶汽车系统，作为Project Titan无人驾驶机车计划的一个分支。
