高通将在GDC 2019上展示可连接PC的独立无线VR头显设备

高通（Qualcomm）的新款VR头显将是首批作为独立移动头显使用的产品之一，还可以无线连接个人电脑。据CNET报道，这款头显将在旧金山举行的游戏开发者大会上进行展示，最早将于今年晚些时候在亚洲上市。

目前大部分移动VR头显设备无法连接PC来获取额外的VR游戏资源库，但高通（Qualcomm）预计，在其名为“Boundless XR”的新参考设计中，这一功能将成为可能。高通公司新推出的头显参考设计将作为一款具有6个自由度的独立移动头显，并通过60GHz连接PC获得更沉浸的VR体验。头显采用高通骁龙845处理器。

高通官方表示：延迟可以控制在16ms以下。此外在连接PC之后这款头显也能用于处理VR技术。所以理论上可以减轻PC端的运行压力，但目前尚不清楚具体的比例。想要让PC和游戏主机连接新款头显，需要支持802.11ad Wi-Fi并运行高通的特定软件。高通公司制作了大量的VR参考设计，但包括HTC、联想和Facebook在内只有极少数公司采用高通的这些设计。很多OEM厂商更愿意使用手机、平板和其他设备。

高通还表示，第一款采用新参考设计的头显将是中国公司Pico VR的Pico Neo2 VR头显。它还表示，HTC Vive是另一个合作伙伴，致力于“通过硬件和内容支持新规范”，尽管这只是一个参考设计，我们可能永远不会看到它上市。
