马斯克：印度政策环境让特斯拉无法在此建厂。印度政府一直以来都希望特斯拉能够在这里建设工厂，然而特斯拉公司CEO埃隆·马斯克却一直迟迟没有这样做。

马斯克在Twitter上表示，印度较为严格的政策环境是阻止特斯拉在这个南亚国家建厂生产车辆的最大阻力。本月早些时候，特斯拉离在中国建厂又迈出了一步，中国工厂将会是特斯拉公司在美国之外建造的第一家生产工厂。特斯拉能够选择在中国建厂，是因为中国政府为特斯拉以及其他汽车生产厂商制定了较为宽松的政策环境。特斯拉最早有望于今年第三季度公布中国工厂的最终选址。

马斯克在Twiiter上表示：“我很希望来到印度。但是可惜的是，这里有一些挑战性很高的政府监管政策。”他表示，当该公司来自印度的CFO Deepak Ahuja认为时机成熟的时候，它们就将会进入印度。

此前印度总理纳伦德拉·莫迪曾表示，印度已经废除了超过1400项阻碍经商的古老法律。但是尽管如此，印度依然不是国外投资者的首选之地，虽然这个国家已经成为亚洲第三大经济体。马斯克曾在去年表示，特斯拉与印度政府进行了商讨，要求印度政府在特斯拉完成建造工厂之前，临时豁免进口罚款以及其他限制。

印度的税收结构是让特斯拉远离这个市场的“罪魁祸首”，然而今年1月，印度交通部长尼廷·加德卡里曾表示，最近一段时间来，该国的税收结构出现了快速的改变，并且印度希望以此吸引环保汽车生产商在此建厂。总理莫迪也定下了一个目标：截止到2030年，印度境内所销售的汽车应全部为电动汽车。然而莫迪的这个目标在很多汽车生产商看来非常难以实现，因为印度的电动汽车基础设施以及生产能力都十分有限。
