苹果原创影视内容战略调整首次采购优质纪录片版权。苹果已经大手笔进入了原创影视领域，正在好莱坞搜寻优秀人才，采购优秀内容的版权。据外媒最新消息，苹果视频战略再度出现了调整，第一次采购了一部纪录片的版权。

据美国科技新闻网站AppleInsider报道，过去，苹果采购的版权以及洽谈的影视拍摄计划，主要集中在基于剧本的虚构作品，以电视剧为主。

据报道，苹果做出了一个不寻常的举动，采购了纪录片《Home》的版权，首次采购了10集，每集长度为一小时。这一纪录片讲述的是一些不寻常的住宅建筑，以及它们背后主人的故事。

这部纪录片的合作拍摄机构有三家，分别是：Altimeter Films,时代制作公司和Media Weaver Entertainment公司。纪录片导演是Matt Tyrnauer ，这位导演曾经在2008年执导一部有关着名服装设计师Valentino Garavani的影片。

苹果支付的版权费金额、纪录片何时能够播出，目前尚不得而知。

面对Netflix、亚马逊原创影视计划的巨大成功，去年，苹果也启动了影视原创计划，据称苹果2018年的原创影视将投资10亿美元，在过去几个月中，苹果招募了一大批好莱坞和美国电视行业的资深高管，并且在好莱坞设立了分支机构，和制片公司进行影视项目的谈判。

苹果确定的一些拍摄项目包括改编自《Are You Sleeping》的剧集，以及重新启动大导演斯皮尔伯格的《Amazing Stories》。这些内容可能在2019年播出。

去年，苹果已经在苹果音乐客户端中播出了少量影视内容，但是行业评价糟糕，苹果播出的剧集包括有关软件开发者的真人秀《软件星球》，以及名人明星参加的《顺风车卡拉OK》。

许多媒体指出，苹果去年在原创影视领域还找不到门道，播出的影视题材过于小众，无法在消费者中引发反响。

目前，苹果还没有自身的网络视频服务。行业普遍认为，随着苹果原创影视内容的增加，苹果预计将会推出一个独立于苹果音乐的网络视频会员服务，每月收费在10美元左右。苹果也将会效仿Netflix、亚马逊等公司的商业模式。

苹果在全世界拥有十几亿的手机和平板电脑用户，这些用户成为苹果拓展新业务的基础。比如依靠捆绑，苹果音乐已经获得了3000万会员，成为全球性第二大在线音乐服务商。

除了手机、平板之外，苹果多年之前就销售机顶盒（Apple TV），虽然市场份额在美国排名倒数，但是连接大屏幕电视机的机顶盒也将成为原创影视内容落地的理想设备。
