蓝鲸TMT频道3月15日消息，据外媒报道，微软联合创始人比尔·盖茨宣布退出微软董事会，未来将专注于慈善工作。

1975年，比尔·盖茨与保罗·艾伦共同创建了微软公司，曾在微软担任董事长、CEO和首席软件架构师等职。

公开资料显示，1995年到2007年，比尔·盖茨在《福布斯》全球富豪榜中连续13年蝉联世界首富。2008年，盖茨宣布退休，同时捐出580亿美金的个人财产。

据了解，盖茨及其妻子梅琳达经营的盖茨慈善基金会是世界上最大的慈善机构之一，日前，盖茨基金会与惠康基金会、万事达卡公司宣布捐赠1.25亿美元种子基金，应对新冠疫情。
