Magic Leap和迪斯尼的关系得到了进一步的拓展——两者在旧金山成立了一间“秘密”实验室，据Magic Leap创始人兼CEO罗尼·阿伯维茨(Rony Abovitz)表示，在公司高度吹捧的技术发布之前，开发者被邀请参与各种项目。

这一实验室其实并不秘密，阿伯维茨透露了该实验室的地点——位于卢卡斯影业旧金山要塞校区尤达喷泉附近。在一次演讲中他透露公司计划发布一款电脑，可以频繁使用。此外，阿伯维茨表示目前已经有数千人了解和体验这家增强现实公司的科技，不幸的是，这些人签署了保密协议(Non-disclosure Agreements),，这意味着这一科技究竟多大程度上履行了公司的承诺现在还是未知数。


至于旧金山的地点，阿伯维茨表示“其中有一部分普通人是无法进入的，只是为Magic Leap/卢卡斯影业研发所用。此外我们还在建造另一间开发者实验室，使得各种开发者都可以使用，在新科技发布之前研发各种东西。”


Magic Leap于今年二月已经获得将近8亿美元的融资，它似乎很快将下一代光场科技商业化。
