谷歌联手快餐连锁店，用无人机为学生送卷饼。快餐连锁店Chipotle与谷歌母公司Alphabet的Project Wing项目团队近日结成联盟，推出试点项目，利用无人机为弗吉尼亚理工学院的学生递送卷饼。



Project Wing项目团队负责人戴夫·沃斯（Dave Vos）：“这是我们首次利用无人机递送人们想要的东西。”这种实验性服务已经获得美国联邦航空管理局（FAA）的批准，亚马逊和沃尔玛等公司都在进行相关测试，很快将推出正式的递送协议。


对于学生们来说，这绝对是值得体验的服务，但在递送过程中必须确保安全。递送卷饼的无人机被称为“自动导向的混合体”，它可以像飞机那样飞行，像直升机那样盘旋。在紧急情况下，人类操作员将可接管无人机的控制权，并需要遵守FAA规定。


这种无人机可以悬停在空中，并利用绞车将货物递送给用户。弗吉尼亚理工学院院长蒂莫西·桑德斯（Timothy Sands）表示，实际上这是弗吉尼亚理工学院重点项目的一部分，该校正努力成为新交通技术领域的领先者。桑德斯称：“这听起来很简单，但实现目标很难。有太多问题需要解决，从安全到政策等。”
